It has three modes. Press the button fourth time, the flash light will be turn off. Long press the button on the left side of the solar panel, the Siren and SOS light will turn on. FAN Press the button on the right side of the solar panel, the fan will turn on; press it second time, the speed will increase; press it third time will reach the maximum speed; press it fourth time, the fan will be turn off. It has three modes. The fan can be used only when the radio is turned off. POWERING THE RADIO A. SOLAR POWER Place solar panel in direct sunlight. The charging indicator on the backside will be blue. It is difficult to fully charge the unit with solar panel, which is mostly used for maintaining the battery. Do not charge the radio in a hot area such as a car. It is also advisable to turn the radio off when charging. NOTE: The solar panel has a lifespan of more than 25 years when used for 6 hours per day. B. DC IN 5V CHARGING To charge the radio, insert the supplied USB cable into the USB power source. Plug the Type-C USB connector into the input port on the back side of the radio. The charging indicator will be red as the battery is being charged. C. HAND CRANK Turn the hand crank for 5 minutes to activate the internal battery for initial use. The backside indicator will flash blue as the Hand crank Dynamo charges. Five minutes of winding gives 15-20 minutes of radio play, at a pace of 120 turns per a minute. If the battery is too low, you may not be able to power the radio up by cranking only, you need to use a USB charger to charge it up. So, we recommend to charge the battery at home before you go out.
